Our aim is to produce saw steel in an environmentally friendly and resource-saving manner. We therefore continuously invest in green technologies and set ourselves ambitious goals.
Our step-by-step plan to reduce the carbon footprint in the coming years and decades at our production sites in Böhlerwerk and Kematen and as well in steel production at our voestalpine group headquarters in Linz, Austria.

CERTIFIED CO2-REDUCED STEEL
It is already possible to use CO2-reduced steel as a raw material for our saw steel. Compared to conventional steel, this allows our customers to significantly lower their CO2 footprint — at a manageable additional cost.
