For over one hundred years uddeholmstrip ® has developed and produced cold rolled strip for razor and scalpel manufacturers. Our martensitic stainless steel grade UHB AEB-L was patented in 1928, filling the gap for a more corrosion resistant material requested by the market.
Our customers are the razor manufacturers who sell their own brand products to consumers or to the private brand supermarkets, pharmacists or more recently, the internet shops.
Razor blade steel has to be flat, with a fine surface to ensure that subsequent hardening and edge grinding gives a smooth comfortable shave.
